What the client asked for:

A new master bedroom suite; additional space for the children downstairs; natural light.

What we did: 

This 1980s house looked dated and our Clients wanted to update the property, whilst creating more space for their family.  We extended to one side, and to the rear, but we made sure that the extension looked like it belonged to the original house, not like a later addition.  Updating the materials externally helped to make the house look and feel more contemporary.

The master bedroom looked out over the rear garden, so we wanted to maximise the views within the roof profile; we did this using lots of roof lights at different heights; a spacious en suite adds a touch of luxury.

The spacious living room now looks out to the rear, whilst a snug provides space in which the children can play, and which can adapt as they grow.
